Student donates to her class for Penny WarsDuring the month of February, Dresden Elementary students will participate in the annual lunchtime fun of Penny Wars.  Students put pennies in their classroom box.  They can choose to put silver change in other classroom boxes.  Pennies add points to the classroom total, whereas the silver change deducts points.  The classroom that collects the most points will win a lunch party.

All of the money raised through the Penny Wars game will be donated to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  The 6th grade's goal is to raise $500.

The mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's Disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.  They also conduct research, help with patient care access, as well as advocate for policies at the state and federal levels.

Remember to bring in your pennies to help your class and a great cause!
