Student Council Hosts a Food, Hat & Mitten Drive

Dresden Student Council is hosting a non-perishable food, hat, mitten and scarf drive to Extended Hand, Inc.  The Student Council reached out to the Dresden students and staff to bring in donations of canned and other non-perishable food items as well as hats, mittens, scarves.  They are trying to reach a goal of 50 boxes to donate. The drive will run from November 26 – December 18.

The following is the mission statement from Extended Hand Inc: Our organization has been serving Macomb County for over 35 Years. Our mission is to bring relief to the poor, the distressed, the underprivileged, families with special circumstances, and the low income seniors, couples, singles, and families throughout the year.

Support the members of our community in their time of need, and work towards a greater good. We are tireless in our efforts to feed the hungry and clothe the poor. We help those seeking help in a time of need. Our non-profit organization serves people of all races, creeds, and religions. We do not discriminate. We merely support our fellow citizens, and serve as a guiding light.

We are happy to help Extended Hand, Inc. help those in our community.
