Student picks a book at March is Reading month Bingo NightDresden Elementary kicks off March is Reading Month activities with a Bingo Night hosted by Dresden PTO.  After getting bingo students were able to pick a book for their prize to help encourage them to read.

March is Reading Month is a very exciting time!  Students have individual reading goals which they track and are able to collect prizes once they have reached his/her goal.  Teachers track the number of minutes their class has read and posts it in the hallway.

Every week DBN highlights a book on the morning news.  This helps introduce the students to different genres and hopefully peaks their interest to try new books.  Some classes are having special guest readers such as State Representative Diana Farrington and UCS Board of Education President Mrs. Gene Klida.

Students will also have spirit days to celebrate March is Reading month as well.
